It can be very overwhelming trying to figure out what to do with your business in the digital landscape. There a so many outlets and platforms and they all want something just a little bit different. Seeming to have their own rules, points, objectives, demographics and oh yeah algorithms that change you know weekly. What the heck are you supposed to do? Tell your story!
I am not ignoring the steps of finding out where your customers spend their time online and meeting them where they are at. That is CRITICAL! Once you have that figured out the next part is deciding what you want to tell and/or show them right? What do you do aka how you get them to buy right? How, tell your story.
Read any marketing article on brand marketing and it will tell you LARGE portions of our society don’t trust it. It isn’t enough for you to tell them to buy your product or assume you know why they need it. You need to show them who you are first aka tell your story.
Why are you in your business? How do you feel your work or product can assist with a problem they are having or can make their lives easier? Why you want to help them? How have others found benefit in your product or service? How you can educate them to make the best decision in the area your product/service is in. Structure your content to answer these questions and you are telling them your story.
Do that and not only will you find customers you will build a community and have an army of marketers out there doing work for you because you cared about them first. WIN WIN!
