It’s easy to say that you will be happy when others succeed but what do you do when it happens. What do you do when your friend calls you and says guess what? 
In today’s world more than ever it is so easy to compare yourself and your life to others. We have social media showing us literally daily. It could be accounts that you follow or specific people you know. Depends on the channel what the highlights are you are seeing but there are highlights. Job, family, traveling, new skills or purchases it seems everyone is doing something, right?
Well two things, first and more importantly that picture or video on social media does not tell the full story and two they are not you. We too often compare the successes of others’ lives to our own but don’t know the road each person is travelling. I guarantee each is layered with different challenges and obstacles so should not be tied directly to each other. Each person is their own wonderful and beautiful person with their own path.
So, what do you do when they succeed? You get excited, you are happy for them, you join in that celebration. Especially if it is a family member or friend because you know some of but not all of what it took to get to the point they are at. Other thing to do is reinforce them, let them know that they are going to do or be great at what is coming. Why? Because they are probably nervous at the new possibility so a vote of confidence from a trusted person could just mean the world.
So be there, be excited, let them know how awesome it or they are going to be. Show them, Shine Bright for them! Much Love!!
