It’s true even though it is your life, you may not see all the steps being taken. Sure, you must do your part and a vast majority of the steps forward are yours. However, it is not all 100% under your control. 
Key is to do the most with the steps you are taking as well as how you help those around you. I think that those two factors assist in steps being taken on your behalf. Those steps you may not see can be critical in what happens next.
By making the most of what you can control you do a big part in getting to your next desired destination. Makes sense right, I work hard I will get there. That’s a big part of it but like it or not there are a lot of factors or steps that you may not see, or can’t control. We need others along the way to get where we want to be.
That is where the second key factor comes into place. How do you help those around you, this factor makes you memorable and genuine. If you are in a cutthroat sales industry you need to get the sale right? Of course, but remember you never know how the world is connected, who knows who, and who is watching. Taking those 5 minutes to buy a hungry man a sandwich probably won’t cost you the sale but it will make all the difference in the world to that man.
So do your part, show up on time, work hard and fulfill your promises. That is a given and a big part of how to get to where you want to go. Partner that work ethic with the honest desire to be helpful and bring others forward with you and that is how you will truly shine bright! Remember you may not see all the steps being taken but if you commit 100% those steps will be taken.
