Is it just me or has the weather been CRAZY! As I am writing this it is snowing hard outside for the second time in about a week. Same week or so that we have also had 70-degree weather with tornados and a mix of 50-degree weather. As I look at the weather outside though it makes me think. 
It makes me think of times where a snow day such as today was met with cheers rather than groans. Where we looked at it as a chance to have such fun that is only reserved for this time of year. Sledding, snowball fights and building epic snow forts or igloos. Maybe even a chance to go skiing or snowboarding. Once you were done because you couldn’t feel your face anymore you got to come inside and enjoy a warm treat such as hot chocolate, what fun! Oh, the weather outside was simply awesome!
When do we lose that feeling? Is it because now we are the ones responsible for the shoveling and having to drive on the winter roads? Sure no one looks forward to that but isn’t that just part of what could be?
We have our responsibilities as adults sure, we must make sure everyone and everything is safe, warm and taken care of but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy. Take the time to sled with the kids, join in the snowball fight. Lend them your expertise to take their snow fort from good to EPIC! There are no rules that say just because you are over a certain age you can’t partake in some winter fun. So go enjoy for a short time, I guarantee those responsibilities will hold for a couple of hours. Shine Bright and Much Love!
