The thought for today in relationship to who are you is for marketing. You all know I love me some brand in terms of look and feel but let’s be honest old fashioned brand marketing is just that old fashioned. People don’t trust it anymore; they aren’t going to buy your gadget just because you are showing it to them.
So how are they going to buy it? By trusting you, your company and other customers who have bought and used that gadget. They want to know what you are about, your “why?”, what your company stands for and most importantly how other people feel about your gadget.
So don’t be afraid to embrace why you do what you do and share that with followers, potential followers, and potential customers. Share with them not only who you are but who your company is. If you have employees use them in your marketing, they are the best tool you have past customers.
Share your story TRUTHFULLY! Don’t tell people the truth you think they want; they will see right through it. Let your employees share their story. They should tell people what their job is in relationship to the gadget people will buy. Most importantly encourage and embrace customers honest stories with your products. Sure, we all know putting up a great testimonial is awesome but if someone shares feedback for improvement, thank them and use it for the bigger picture.
Who you are is important, why you are doing what you do is important, embrace it, own it and use it to your advantage to give customers what they want. Show off your gadget in real life, with real people and you will like the results. Shine Bright and Much Love!
