There are so many things in life that we just don’t want to do. Chores, taxes, filing, that difficult task you’ve been putting off, bad news. None of those things are fun but let’s face it, they must be done.
Ok, totally stating the obvious, I know. Everyone knows those things must be done as much as we don’t want to. I get it as each week I cut the grass, clean the house and dust, don’t know why but I hate dusting.
What I’m thinking today is the thought process in facing those tasks and then after affect once you complete those tasks. Outside of the basic tasks we all don’t like are those things that must be done that we can easily think “oh someone else will take care of that” or “that’s scary, I don’t know how”.
Really easy to put them off or cross your fingers and hope someone else will just do it. It’s possible they might but how are you going to grow if you don’t step up and make a situation better. Sure, it might be rough for a few minutes or so but if you can help, make someone’s life easier or a situation better isn’t it worth it?
In the end, you will feel better about a lot of things if you step up and face your fear to help others. The after affects all around will be so much better. We all know the Golden Rule but no where in that rule does it say it will always be easy to do so.
Know that you can face those difficult situations or even hated tasks because after all we know they must be done. Question is by who? You got this, step up and shine bright. Much Love!
