Say pivot to a LOT of people and they will start laughing picturing the scene in Friends with Ross, the couch, and stairs up to his apartment. Very funny scene but not what I am thinking about today.
Pivot is a great word for when things are off kilter, crazy busy or just not going your way. This can be ever so much truer now as we are rolling into so many holidays from Monday through New Year’s Eve. As if life wasn’t crazy enough now, we have the extra stress of parties, gifts, celebrations and all the things.
Doesn’t seem like things should be crazy when we are talking celebrations and gifts, right? Ha-ha, once you get past the age of what 12 we all know it is. Because we know that the rest of life won’t stop just because we have added more to our plate. What do we do then, pivot!
Let’s face it you aren’t going to be 100% for all of it unless your name starts with Super, and you have a cape. While that may be true for Halloween wearing that costume for the next 3 months or so probably won’t be deemed acceptable. Sorry.
Pivot and just make things work. Your to-do list keeps growing? Pivot and focus on what needs done right now. Must supply items to a party, pivot because it doesn’t all have to be home made. You’ve got mad skills, I know but what is more important, checking everything off the list or enjoying the activities and events of the next few months.
Stay true to you but pivot and let your best shine through. You Got This!
Much Love,
