It seems like the world is in a constant state of now, now, now. We are always wanting to push faster, be better, be first. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you approach it in the right way.
You should always strive to be the best version of you so that you can show yourself and the world what you are truly capable of. That can sometimes mean that things get crazy, especially as you put out information, content, or products for your business. Just like athletes have competitors so do businesses who would like nothing better than to best you by putting out that content or product before you do. Right?
You need to get to the punch first but that doesn’t mean go running through the halls screaming like your hair is on fire. No, that leads to mistakes especially in the rush to put out content in a social media driven world that can change literally in a few seconds.
The key is to be as methodical in your approach to your day to day so when that race to the content or production finish line is crazy you can pivot and be on-time, heck you might even be early and go viral! If you have the normal pieces of your puzzle lined up, then you won’t freak out and rush when something drops in your lap, and you have to go now. You will be able to focus on it and make decisions.
Now one thing I must add in for all the SMM’s out there (Social Media Managers), when that race for content is on you, trust your SMM. Some viral content is right for your business, and some is not. Some world-wide “topics” are cause for comment and some are not. Your SMM’s have a feel on the pulse of your business’s community and place in the bigger picture, trust their knowledge.
So long story short, if you are prepared, if you are methodical in your approach the hectic races in your life or business might be stressful but they will be ok. Having the day to day ready to go allows you to focus on those last-minute decisions and plans. Trust the people close to the issues and make it happen. You got this! Shine bright and much love!!
