I know what the heck am I talking about a year complete its only May?!? Well for me it is a true statement as I write this on my birthday and tomorrow will start another lap around this wonderful earth.
So, I think another year needs to have some time for reflection on the past year. What did we learn, how did we grow and where do we want to go from here? This is especially poignant this year cause well it has been NUTS! Haha!!
For me I think there are two big lessons. First is that we are all capable of WAY more than we tell ourselves. We as humans seem to talk ourselves out of things more than into them a lot of the time. So, I say trust yourself, take the leap towards the best circumstances for you. You never know it might lead to the absolute best version of yourself. So go ahead…YOU GOT THIS!!
The second lesson is the importance of those around you. I think it is amazing that if you are lucky, you get two versions of family. First is your given family who have your back no matter what. They will support you and always listen cause you know they are family. The second is your chosen family. Sure, you chose your given family each day but what I am talking about is those friends that become just like family. Those people who will stand with you no matter what, who can make you laugh and know exactly what to do to make you feel better. Both are a precious gift and this year I think we all learned to value them that much more. Super cool if you ask me.
So, for my birthday I wish you the strength to trust your gut and the courage to take the leap and do whatever it is that has been playing around in the back of your head. You can do it! Also, the time to have those conversations and activities with both your given and chosen family. Thrive in that time 😊. As always shine bright people and much love!
