I don’t know about you, but it is hard this time of year not to get too excited. We have all kinds of holiday activities and tons of sports (that gets me excited)! You get to look forward to celebrations with friends and families so it’s easy to get fired up!! But don’t get too excited, at least not yet.
Why do I say don’t get too excited? Aren’t I always talking about taking in the moments and opportunities in front of us? Yes, I am and that is exactly why I say don’t get too excited. How many of you feel like we have Thanksgiving and then blink to find it’s the end of December?
That’s why we need to slow it down and don’t get too excited. If we slow it down, we get to see all of the pieces that make up this awesome time of year. We can enjoy the decorating, have fun with the baking and see what this time means to all the people around us.
Take time to have the extra lunches with folks so you can see them before a particular holiday, be there for a kid’s holiday event at school, and heck even plan that shopping at all the local small businesses in your area so you can find those amazing gifts.
So don’t get too excited that the holidays are around us, slow down and enjoy each moment and each person and I promise it will lead to more excitement in the end. Have a great time! Shine Bright and Much Love!!
