So, I have a question?
What does your brand say about you and your business? Now I am not 100% talking about the colors or your logo, I want you to think about the story that your brand is saying about you and your business. Think of your colors, logo, and fonts as the physical elements of your brand, I want you to think about is the authenticity and storytelling aspects of your brand.
I think most all of us can agree that the brand advertising of our youth is pretty much nonexistent. Unless you have say the golden arches or an apple with a bite out of it for your logo, you can’t rely on that alone. Many studies say that this form of a marketing plan is not reaching target audiences anymore. People want to really know how something works from the mouth of someone who has used/done it. They want to trust their sources who give them references or opinions on what to buy.
Ok so they want to see it firsthand so with that what we hear about now is trust marketing and/or influencer marketing. I hear you saying well I am a small business I cannot pay high end influencers to show or market my product. You do not have to. There are many levels of influencers from folks with over 1,000 followers to those with 10,000, 25,000 or 100,000 followers each with their own costs and markets. Oh, and guess what YOU can develop yourself as an influencer in your market with your products or services.
This is where the story telling, and authenticity of your brand come into play. Do not sell your product just to sell it, tell the story of it. Show the authenticity of why you believe in it, why you do what you do to bring this product or service to the public. Work with people who collaborate on the execution of it, your staff, and customers to help you tell the story and show the full range of what your brand truly is.
If you do that with truth, care, and authenticity I think you will be incredibly surprised at the increase in engagement with your business, your brand and what that can lead to in terms of sales. Shine bright, be you authentically and engage! Much love!
